Total Beginner / Complete Novice Course One to one Tuition (but friends are welcome).
1 day course from 10.30-15.30
Whatever you want to call it this course really is for total beginners. Girls who have literally never arranged a flower in their lives are taking home some amazing arrangements. A complete introduction to flower arranging, including advice on the purchase and preparation of all floral materials will be given. We will focus on simple, but effective flower arrangements, all of which you will keep at the end of the day. It is recommended that you have your own apron, camera, notebook and pen to hand.
Introduction to beginners flower arranging course includes
- The Elements of Design including colour, balance and structure.
- The correct use of floristry tools.
- A range of beautiful flower arrangements suitable for all occasions including:-
- A beautiful country style arrangement – an abundance of flowers and foliage for that impressive look.
- Posy pad or wreath design suitable for Weddings Christmas or to enhance any interior.
- Fishbowl on mirrored base
- Stylish Cimbidium orchid design.
- Introduction to buttonhole/corsage work. Learn how to wire and tape leaves and floral stems with wonderful results. Many participants take home 2 or 3 beautiful corsages as gifts for Mums Nans etc.
Full choice is given re flower colours and any personal likes/dislikes taken into account.
Most of the courses I now do are for total novices. Some girls want to know about flower arranging in order to start a business, some to help out at their own or a friends wedding and some want to be able to do more wow factor flowers in their own home for entertaining etc.
We cover working with floral foams, wiring for corsages, speed arrangements with wow factor etc etc. It all depends on the person.
We work in a very casual fashion but everyone without exception gains loads of confidence and some lovely flower arrangements.
Some courses include a toolbox which contains all you will need for the day and for lots of future practises but if you are on a tight budget you can manage without for now. (Although its a lot cheaper with the course at only £30)
Courses take place here in Nantwich Cheshire.
I dont mind mums or friends sitting in but if they want to be hands on also we would need more flowers and vases etc so there would be an extra charge. The other option is that they share the workload with you at no extra charge.
The course includes all flowers foliage vases wires ribbons tapes etc. etc. A boxed set of Oasis design brochures and work notes. I buy all my flowers from the Dutch suppliers so quality and value are excellent.
If booking please state any colour likes/dislikes as you will be living with the finished arrangements for quite some time.
£155 All flowers & vases/containers supplied
£185 which includes fully fitted toolbox, as listed in supplies
Gift Vouchers are available at every price level.
Half day courses now available at £95.00 10.00am – 12.30pm or 1.30pm – 4.00pm includes 2 arrangements and corsage work.
Please email with any enquiries.

Dear Ada
This is the first opportunity I have had to get in contact with you since our wonderful day a couple of weekends ago. We thoroughly enjoyed it and I feel so happy and confident that I can do my wedding flowers and developed a bit of a passion for it and may continue with it after the wedding who knows!
You made us feel welcome and comfortable in your home and I wouldn’t hesitate to reccomend you or look at booking a flower arranging day with you again. I am hoping this week to try and get the numbers down for the flowers thet we listed on the day and I will send them to you for you to check for me which you kindly offered to do…. email from M

Im thinking about doing Christmas courses in your own home so that we can decorate specific areas to suit you. Much like I do for tv. Cost will probably be between £195 – £450 upwards depending upon the amount of dressings you already have or how much floral materials you would like.Whether you want staircases dressing, have a huge dining table, big fireplaces etc etc. I have decorated many stately homes including Arley Hall for a Jane Asher shoot so no house is too big or too small. Email if interested giving me loads of info on what you already have and what you would like. We can do a trip to one of my superb wholesalers if you wish to stock up with the newest designs. Children welcome to join in. Not many dates left.
