We will be using pure silk ribbons, cinnamon sticks, dried oranges, lemons and limes.   Plenty of bling available if that is your thing or more simple frosted twigs and accessories in various colours. You can choose from a wide range of gorgeous foliages, gold sprays and roses to add the wow factor. 

You will also learn how to make a beautiful table centrepiece.   It can be round or rectangular, your choice.  Please state colour of roses required.   Other materials as above.   

Tea, coffee, fizz and mince pies available to keep you refreshed.

In response to quite a few requests I am now offering a flower arranging course based entirely on easily grown British Country Garden flowers,

Delphiniums, Poppies, Achillias, Lavender, Rosemary, Clematis, Herbs, Verbascums, Foxgloves etc. are just some of the flowers you will be using.

Expect to make four different lovely arrangements which are yours to take home and enjoy.   10.30 am – 2.30 pm

For obvious reasons this course will be best taken in May – October.   Choose from any of the dates shown on my calendar page.

Total cost for the day is £145 to include all containers, baskets, accessories etc.

During this half day course, which takes place from 11am – 1.30 pm, you will make an impressive Christmas door wreath as well as a beautiful table centre

Using only the highest quality ribbons,beads,baubles,decorative wires, faux foliage and flowers you will treasure these arrangements for years to come.

Class size is limited to four participents to ensure individual help and attention.

This course is in response to many recent requests mostly from brides travelling abroad, those who want a permanent keepsake of their perfect day, but also from those suffering from hayfever. As with all our courses this day will be tailored to your own specific requirements.

Brides could make their bouquet, Groom’s buttonhole, Mum’s corsage, Dad’s corsage and chief bridesmaid’s bouquet, flower wall, table arrangement etc etc.  Entirely your choice, expect to make three  or four major items depending upon size.

Silk flower arrangements are also perfect as gifts for new homeowners, new Mums and babies, showroom or office decoration, Christmas decor and much more.

Tell me what you have in mind and the course will be tailored just for you.  You will make at least  three or four beautiful designs in coordinated vases/holders/containers.   Full choice is given regarding style, colours and flowers. A Two or Three day intensive course.   10.30 – 2.30 each day.

This course is for all those of you who dream of one day owning a flower shop or starting an online flower business.  We wouldn’t pretend for one moment that you could possibly learn it all in two or three days, but after this course you will certainly know if floristry is for you.   We will discuss all aspects of being a florist  including the really early mornings, the late nights, the freezing buckets etc – but also the sheer pleasure when you see a brides face light up as she sees her wonderful flowers!

Arrangement ideas below;

• floral handbag.
• Hand Tied Bouquet.
• Complete a posy pad to your own design.
• Low rectangular sheaf arrangement suitable for funeral work or use in domestic situations e.g. sideboards windowsills etc
• Simple practice wiring and taping of various foliages and flowers.
• Construct  buttonholes and  corsages  to your own design.
• Wreaths – suitable for door, funeral, table, storm lantern etc – you decide on the style but all alternatives will be discussed.
• Pew end /chair back designs from simple to complex , inexpensive to opulent

• Construct “things”  (bracelets cuffs tiaras etc) from bullion wire, aluminium wire, beads & pearls.

Somewhere in the middle of that lot we stop for a quick lunch.  Tea and coffee on the go all day.  Full range of handouts are given.

The two day course including  all materials, containers, flowers and sundries etc is  £385.00.

The Three day course is £495.00 and can, if you wish, comprise two days fresh flowers and one day silk.   Choose from any  consecutive dates on my calendar.

Everything you make is yours to take home at the end of the course.

Refreshments are served throughout the day. All you need to bring is a notebook and camera.

A £100  booking fee will reserve a date and the final balance  will be due 10 days before the course date.   Payment can either be by Paypal to my email address or by bank transfer.

TOTAL BEGINNER/COMPLETE NOVICE COURSE  £145

All courses are one to one tuition.  

A four hour course usually starting at 10.30 am.  Let me know if a later start is required.   Whatever you want to call it this course really is for total beginners.   Those who have literally never arranged a flower in their lives are taking home some amazing arrangements, just look at the photos on the gallery page. A complete introduction to flower arranging, including advice on the purchase and preparation of all floral materials will be given. We will focus on simple, but effective flower arrangements, all of which you will keep at the end of the day. It is recommended that you have your camera, notebook and pen to hand. Introduction to beginners flower arranging course includes

• The Elements of Design including colour, balance and structure.
• At least three/four beautiful flower arrangements suitable for all occasions which can include:-
• A beautiful country style arrangement – an abundance of flowers and foliage for that impressive look.
• Posy pad or wreath design suitable for Weddings Christmas or to enhance any interior.
• Stylish Modern  Design Simple Easy and Quick but with loads of impact.
• Pretty Roses and herbs hand tied posy design.
• Introduction to buttonhole/corsage work.  Learn how to wire and tape leaves and floral stems with wonderful results.   In addition to the above many participants take home beautiful corsages as gifts for Mums Nans etc.

Full choice is given re flower colours and any personal likes/dislikes taken into account. Many of the courses I do are for total novices.   Some students want to know about flower arranging in order to start a business, some to help out at their own or a friends wedding and some want to be able to do more wow factor flowers in their own home for entertaining etc. We work in a very casual fashion but everyone without exception gains loads of confidence and some lovely flower arrangements.

Courses take place in Nantwich Cheshire.   The course includes all  flowers foliage vases wires ribbons tapes etc. etc.    I buy all my flowers from the Dutch suppliers so quality and value are excellent. If booking please state any colour likes/dislikes as you will be living with the finished designs for some time.

 

Wedding Flower Course   4 hours  £155                                               

All courses are one to one tuition, 2nd participating person discount of £25.00

1 day course starting at 10.30 am. This course is tailored to your specific requirements. We fully explore all aspects of dream flowers for your very special wedding day.   Send me enough details in advance and I will come up with some ideas just for you.     Full  backup is given by email afterwards for those last minute questions that all brides have.   If you wish me to help you order in your flowers nearer the big day that can be arranged.  I have hundreds of weddings under my belt and the wedding course is still my favourite.   Ideal for the bride and Mum/best friend/hens.

Arrangements can include; Pew end / chair back ideas and arrangements Table centres and candelabra. Name card holders Simple but stunning button holes, corsages and pretty wrist corsages.    Wedding cake flowers.   Brilliant budget ideas with the Wow Factor.. How to decorate Archways, flower walls, flowered letters,  chandeliers, hoops etc etc etc

This course would be ideal for a mother and daughter, or two friends planning the perfect day.   Everything you make is yours to take home at the end of the day.   Also for you to take home are all the necessary tapes, wires and pins required for bridal work. Total cost for the day including all vases, containers, flowers and sundries is just £145.00.    Refreshments are served throughout the day.
