Flower Arranging Beginners Class

Introduction to Floral Design

Discover the joy of flower arranging and create three beautiful pieces to take home in this fun, one-to-one workshop.

Duration: 3 hours Price: £165 per guest Teacher: Ada Haygarth, The Flower Arranging School

Overview

Curious about floristry but not quite ready to commit to a multi-day course? Our three-hour Beginners Workshop is the perfect way to dip your toes into the world of floral design. Set in our welcoming Nantwich studio, this session is all about relaxing, getting creative, and learning a few professional tricks of the trade.

What you’ll do: Led by Ada – who brings extensive professional experience designing floral arrangements for Film, Television, and Weddings—this hands-on class is designed to give you a taste of different floristry techniques in a short amount of time.

During the workshop, you will learn the basics of stem preparation, conditioning, and colour matching. Ada will then guide you step-by-step as you create three distinct floral designs. While seasonal materials dictate exactly what we make, you can typically expect to craft a beautiful hand-tied posy, a charming jam-jar or mini-vase arrangement, and a delicate wired buttonhole.

It’s a wonderful, immersive snapshot of what floristry is all about. You’ll leave not only with three beautiful creations to brighten up your home, but also with a sense of pride and a great foundation if you decide to pursue your new hobby further!

Hi Ada, just wanted to say a big ‘thank you’, both Sheila and I thoroughly enjoyed our wedding flower course with you last week. Cant believe I actually came away with my wedding bouquet done, I absolutely love it. Never imagined or thought for one minute that it would be so wonderful, just what I wanted, better in fact. Your hospitality was wonderful, your teaching style just right. Anyway thanks again, we had a wonderful time, really enjoyed ourselves and would not hesitate to recommend you and your course to others in fact I will be doing so with all my friends.

I attended a 3 day course with Ada in January, it was brilliant. She’s a really warm and lovely person, with a wealth of experience and time saving techniques. This course was very informative and good value for money compared to others that I had researched. Ada gave me confidence and reassurance, I’m setting up my business ready to start for Mothers day. Although I’ve already had orders starting to come in for Valentines.

Thank you so much for Saturday. My flowers look wonderful even if I say so myself ! I never thought I could make such professional looking arrangements. My sister and I are interested in the bridal course as she gets married next June and we would like to do the flowers ourselves

Many thanks for a wonderful day. I had a lovely time and am thrilled with my efforts. I hope to meet with my daughter on Sunday and show her my day’s achievements. Your hospitality was wonderful and most appreciated and I just wish I had been able to do the other two days floristry course. I hope to organise that for later in the year, it will give me some more insight and great tips
