Beginners Course

1 day course from 9.30-16.30

On this course a complete introduction to flower arranging, including advice on the purchase and preparation of all floral materials will be given. We will focus on simple, but effective flower arrangements, all of which you will keep at the end of the day. It is recommended that you have your own apron, camera, notebook and pen to hand.. .

Introduction to flower arranging.

The Elements of Design including colour, balance and structure.

The correct use of floristry tools.

A range of beautiful flower arrangements suitable for all occasions including:-

 A Large country style arrangement - an abundance of flowers and foliage for that impressive look. 

Posy pad design.

Mirrorred fishbowl display.

Introduction to buttonhole/corsage work

Full choice is given re flower colours and any personal likes/dislikes taken into account.

 Most of the courses I  now do are for total beginners.   Some girls want to know about flower arranging in order to start a business, some to help out at their own or a friends wedding and some want to be able to do more wow factor flowers in their own home for entertaining etc.
 
We cover working with floral foams,wiring for corsages,speed arrangements with wow factor etc etc.   It all depends on the person.
 
We work in a very casual fashion but everyone without exception gains loads of confidence and some lovely flower arrangements.
 
Some courses include a toolbox which contains all you will need for the day and for lots of future practises but if you are on a tight budget you can manage without for now. (Although its a lot cheaper with the course £25) 
 
Courses can take place here in Nantwich or at your home.   I dont mind mums or friends sitting in but if they want to learn also we would need more flowers and vases etc so there would be an extra charge.  My starting price on the course includes all basic flowers roses lilies chrysanth carnations vases wires ribbons tapes etc.   If you can afford it spend more and I can also supply orchids and other exotics.  My fee, which is included, remains the same whether you spend a lot or a little and I buy all my flowers from the Dutch suppliers so quality and value are excellent.   If booking please state any colour likes/dislikes as you will be living with the finished arrangements for hopefully a week or so.
 

All flowers foliages vases etc are included in the cost. 2nd person discount..

Wedding Flowers Course

1 day course from 9.30-16.30

This course is my personal favourite and is tailored to your specific requirements. Class size will be limited to two students in order to fully explore all aspects of flowers for your special wedding day. Send me enough details in advance and I will come up with some ideas just for you. Time permitting we can visit your wedding location and discuss all possibilities for a truly memorable day.
